"I enrolled in Food Composed to boost my composition and styling skills. Prior to enrolling in the course composing for me was guess work, sometimes I would get it right, but most times I would be left frustrated, wondering what I was missing. I didn’t understand the rules of composition and I knew if I wanted to improve I needed some help.
I had so many fantastic learning or ‘a-ha’ moments throughout the course, but the biggest take away for me was the need to craft a narrative around your image before you even pick up the camera. Food Composed unlocked a whole new style for me and has pushed me out of my comfort zone. "

"I started my food photography journey almost 8 years ago when I started my blog. At the beginning the subject wasn’t important to me. But in time I realized that I need to get better.
I theoretically knew all rules but didn’t follow them. I felt stuck so decided to take an online course. I enrolled in Food Composed because I wanted to know why some of my pictures felt right while others felt so wrong.
My biggest learning point is that the rules really make sense. I really enjoyed the live sessions. And all your feedback on our pictures. What works fine, but also what could be improved."

"I love landscape photography and the use of natural light. I am very creative and have a natural eye for composition, light and shadows…BUT, the field of food was another topic and subject that is to be studied. I didn’t understand how to “tell the story of food” through my lens.
To me the financial side of things was a risk. I did one online course and oh boy…lots of talk and no show. But, you gave a clear outset of the course so I took a leap of faith! This was a lot of money, but worth every penny!
I loved the fact that each module was not longer than 15 minutes…very much to the point and lots of practical and visual examples. I made notes of every module and the “aha” moments."

"I was looking for a long time a course that allow me to learn how to use different composition techniques, because I attend workshops where only mention superficially, the composition techniques but I never received a deep explanation and practical examples.
I found (it) easy to understand how to place the props intentionally to follow an specific composition technique because Lauren built the scene step by step , so later I could try to re-create a similar scene using the composition grid provided.
Additionally after this course I take less time to do a shoot because I learn to sketch, plan ahead all the details using the grids and the workflow provided here."
